Intermediate Division
The
Intermediate Division consists of grades 2 - 5. The core curriculum
subjects of language arts, math, science, and social studies are
generally taught above grade level. It is our goal to help each student
reach his or her individual academic potential.
Hillel students learn to maximize their reading and writing skills, and
hone their mathematical and analytical abilities. Our strong science and
social studies programs include many hands-on activities, research
opportunities, and lab assignments.
Two periods are devoted
each day to Jewish studies, one being modern Hebrew and one focusing on
history and culture. Students
benefit from regularly scheduled instruction in Fine Arts, Library,
Computer, and Physical Education as well.
By the completion of
fifth grade, our students are ready to enter Hillel's rigorous Middle School
program, understanding the basics of pre-algebra and introductory
geometry, and able to interpret the complexities of literature on a high
level.
A full
Intermediate curriculum is available for your review when you visit the
school.

Division Director is Sandra Szekely. She can be contacted at
